Acropolis and Cave of Pan

Panormos is another ancient city of the island which preserves monuments from that era with organized facilities. It is reported that the city in 361 BC was occupied by the tyrant Alexander of Feron and then besieged by the Athenians. The fortified citadel of the settlement is situated on the hill "Palaiokastro", has extremely interesting masonry and to get there you only just have to cross a beautiful trail. In the same space, the Cave of Pan is very well preserved, a unique monument of worship of the God of Skopelos.
