The Venetian fortress of Skopelos

The castle is located in the ancient village Peparithos, i.e. in the capital (Chora) of Skopelos. It was restored for first time by the Venetians in the 13^th century and until today parts of its majestic walls are preserved. The castle is connected with the capital of the island and is visible from every point of it. If one goes up the landings that start from the edge of the harbor in Panagitsa of Pyrgos, will discover the fortress up close and enjoy the breathtaking view.
