Pavlos Nirvanas' House
The History Museum of Skopelos is located in the traditional settlement of Skopelos, in the district of Agios Ioannis, next to the church of Trion Hierarchon (Three Hierarchs). The Museum is housed in the residence of the writer Pavlos Nirvanas. In this house, the Modern Greek novelist, Pavlos Nirvanas, spent his childhood years; his origin was from Skopelos and his real name was Petros Apostolidis. The residence is an example of local Scopelian folk architecture, of Macedonian type, and it was built in the first half of the 19th century. The residence hosts the exhibition Peparithos Skopelos: The city's history from ancient times until today.
